Daruma (達磨 ou だるま) is the japanese name for Bodhidharma. Daruma is also a whishes doll in the Japanese culture.
No need to tell you what is my whishes…. Japan ♥
But how to help them? This is my wish, my desire …
Perhaps by offering you the Daruma’s pattern , all the profits will be donated to the Red Cross or a similar international association?
What do you think? The pattern is not quite ready yet, so this would be “pre-order”. You can trust me, I’ll put my whole heart for drafting this pattern. I have a deep desire to do something for the Land of the Rising Sun!

Overcoming my anguish and pain by creating … it’s the only thing I can do and this releive me a bit …
Trying to find our child soul again, and put on our rose-colored glasses even in these dark times when the planet is oscillating between disasters and revolutions ….
Last Thursday night (the eve of the earthquake so), I worked on the design of a Daruma and I made a sketch. I did not thought that I would realize it before several weeks / months … but I got caught up by the news and this sketch quickly became an obsession and I finally found some time to realize it.
The original idea was to make a Daruma who could remove his “pajamas”! Even though it seems like an obvious idea, I have not found a single Daruma of this type, which could be seperated from its “pajamas”.
I garantee you, my children love it! Florent love to throw away the little furry ball (or playing football with it, oups …) And Aline likes to undress and dress again the Daruma!
The challenge today? Make lots of little Darumas, make as many wishes as possible and hope that this beautiful country will quickly recover.
Love Japan ♥
Feel free to circulate the information if you know anyone who would like to participate in this little collection and at the same time make a Daruma!
